Due to work on the high-speed line in The Netherlands, trains will not stop at the Schiphol station.

The Schiphol station can only be reached by local trains departing from Rotterdam. To reach Paris, Brussels or Antwerp, you must purchase a ticket from Rotterdam. Print then your travel confirmation to travel free between Rotterdam and Schiphol. This will be your ticket.

For those of us who like to enjoy a few moments of luxury and relaxation during our travels, the Akasha Holistic Centre spa is an excellent destination in Amsterdam. The concept, imported from Israel, offers a wide range of traditional and New Age care in a fashionable, luxury setting.

Exotic care in a fashionable setting

The spa is located in the Conservatorium Hotel, but you can go without staying at the hotel for €75 and the purchase of a care option. This isn't a minor investment, but the beautifully designed swimming pool, the five-star hammam and the state-of-the-art fitness room are worth the sacrifice. I went for the Watsu, which is a Shiatsu massage in the water. The massage with seashells, volcanic lava gel and almond oil is also worth a try.

Serene and cosy atmosphere

Natural materials like wood have been used throughout to create a serene and cosy atmosphere. The principles of Feng Shui and a strategic use of colour in the decoration and lighting are other strong points of the interior design.

I love Amsterdam's open spirit. It's easy to meet people and have rich, interesting conversations. The heart of the city is bubbling over with cultural initiatives, secret restaurants and nature routes that relax you in no time. I want to share it all with you!
