You'll quickly come to appreciate Bitterzoet if you're a fan of the alternative music scene. The club hosts new concerts and happenings every evening and for every taste, ranging from Afro-Cuban jazz to skateboarding to rock evenings and house parties.

Young and affordable

I like the Bitterzoet for its different zones: a very lively dance floor, a chill-out bar for breaks and a theatre stage that’s always bringing in amazing shows. The artists that come to perform are among the best. The patrons are trendy and open. They know where to find the trendiest sneakers and the hypest record store. Admission is friendly (10-15 euros on average) and the music doesn't stop until 3 in the morning during the week and 4 at weekends.

Open bar and surprise concerts

On some nights of the month, admission includes an hour of free beer or a tee-shirt with the logo of your favourite band. There are also improvisational events. I still remember the time I got to see a private concert with the Fun Lovin Criminals who happened to be passing through Amsterdam.

Romain, 35 ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

I love Amsterdam's open spirit. It's easy to meet people and have rich, interesting conversations. The heart of the city is bubbling over with cultural initiatives, secret restaurants and nature routes that relax you in no time. I want to share it all with you!
