Due to work on the high-speed line in The Netherlands, trains will not stop at the Schiphol station.

The Schiphol station can only be reached by local trains departing from Rotterdam. To reach Paris, Brussels or Antwerp, you must purchase a ticket from Rotterdam. Print then your travel confirmation to travel free between Rotterdam and Schiphol. This will be your ticket.

Well-known for being one of Amsterdam’s best addresses for all things organic, BioMarkt is the biggest supermarket in this category. I love doing my shopping there as the quality of the food is usually better than what you find in other grocer’s in Amsterdam.

A huge choice of items

BioMarkt stands out through the provenance of its products and the items available. You can buy fresh fruit and vegetables, bread and dairy produce, as well as pasta and household maintenance goods. Everything is totally organic and the prices are fair.

Organic wine and peanut butter

If I am invited to dinner with friends, I often choose a bottle of wine from here, because they are rarely disappointing. I must admit I’m also fond of melt-in-the-mouth peanut butter. Not very slimming, I agree, but still delicious.

Open Monday to Saturday, 8 am to 8 pm, and on Sundays from 11 am to 7 pm.

* Alcoholic beverages should be consumed in moderation. Please drink responsibly.
