Today:

  • For 2 years we have been printing brochures and Thalyscope on paper from forests that are guaranteed sustainable.
  • We offer the Ticketless service, which enables passengers to travel without a ticket. The result: less paper is used to issue tickets and ticket pouches. Less mail is sent by post and messenger, which leads to time optimisation.
  • Passengers can find all the necessary information concerning their journey on http://thalys.mobi and www.thalys.com.
    We also intend to gradually dematerialise our publications. Therefore, from September 2008, the “Ready to go” brochure will no longer be printed but will be downloadable on www.thalys.com.
  • Our partner Railrest, which is responsible for on board catering and services, has been awarded the ISO 14001:2004 certification, for packaging and its wide choice of products.

From November 2008:

  • Waste sorting in the Thalys bar carriage: gradual introduction of 5 bins for sorting waste (2 for food, 1 for paper, 1 for cans and 1 for glass).
