What is Second Life?
Also known as SL, Second Life is a virtual 3D universe, built entirely by its owners and residents. Since it was created in 2003, the number of registrations has increased exponentially and it now has more than seven million people.
To access it, go to http://secondlife.com, sign up and download the programme for free.
Once you have done so, select the type of avatar you would like and make it evolve in a parallel universe.
Parallel to you real life, you can now have a virtual one!
SL is more than just a game. It offers you many opportunities to travel, meet people, chat, do business, set up an exhibition, open an office, organise a concert, spread your ideas...
SL even has its own currency, the Linden dollar or L$. You can earn some and then change them into real dollars or euro...
This entire technical platform is managed by the Linden Lab company.

How to use the Teleport Station
Once you have installed Second Life and created your avatar go to http://slurl.com/secondlife/Thalys Teleportation/151/144/31 and click on “teleport now”. Second Life will open automatically. After you have been connected, click on “Teleport”.
In one mouse click, you will arrive at the Thalys Teleport Station!
Next, follow these steps:
1) Go to the Thalys building.
2) Enter the Teleportation room.
3) Go to one of the six destination boards according to the type of the destination you require...
4) ...or relax in one of our comfortable Thalys armchairs.
5) Select your destination by clicking on the relevant sparkling spot.
6) Click on “Keep” then on “Teleport”. You have been teleported!
