The train is ideal for group travel.

Thalys offers special fares for groups of 10 or more.

The earlier you reserve your train tickets, on trains with a sufficient number of seats, the larger your reduction.

Adult groups can take advantage of reductions up to 50% on Hi-life fares!

Youth groups, from 12 to 26 years old, can take advantage of our youth fares.
Adults accompanying youth groups can take advantage of the same fares (limited to 1 adult for 10 young people).

Groups of more than 36 passengers can make their reservation up to 4 months in advance. Smaller groups can reserve 3 months in advance.

Group 1 This fare is for groups travelling during peak periods on busy lines. It offers 15% reduction on Hi-life fares (full fare).

Conditions :

  • Can be exchanged up to 21 days before departure;
  • Refunded 80 % up to 21 days before departure and 50% up to 8 days before departure.
Group 2 This fare offers a 35% reduction on Hi-life fares.
Group 3 This fare is for trains with extensive availabilities for groups reserving well in advance. It offers a reduction of 50% on Hi-life fares.
Group 4
Youth group This fare is for young people between 12 and 26 years old. Adults accompanying the group and who are over 26 years old can also take advantage of Youth Group fares (limited to 1 adult per 10 young people).
Kids Group This fare is reserved for children under 12. Available only in Comfort 2.

Reservation and fares:

Our fares are subject to the number of seats available. To take advantage of the lowest prices, reserve as early as possible. Tickets are available 3 months before the departure date for groups of less than 36 people, and 4 months for groups of more than 36.

  • Belgium:
    • by telephone – SNCB-NMBS (Belgian Railways) on 02 528 28 28*, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and at weekends and on bank holidays from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.;
    • at SNCB-NMBS (Belgian Railways stations);
    • at approved travel agencies.
  • France :
    • SNCF (French Railways Group commercial agencies):
      Take reservations from Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. by phone on 08 10 87 94 79* or by fax on 08 10 87 54 75*;

    • reservation fee: € 3 per person per one-way/single trip.
