My Ticketless > Manual

With Thalys Ticketless you can travel without a paper ticket to all Thalys destinations.

  • You no longer need to collect your ticket at the station, receive it by post or print it out;
  • purchase it on Thalys.com, through a travel agency or the call centre;
  • confirmation of reservation, exchange or cancellation by email;
  • reminder of seat number by SMS 1 hour prior to the train’s departure;
  • email and SMS message in the event of traffic disturbance affecting your train;
  • personal “My Ticketless” space on Thalys.com to consult your Ticketless journeys and print out a receipt.

Purchase a Ticketless journey

  • On Thalys.com
    • Select journey details on the booking form (leaving from, going to, date of journey, comfort class…) and click on “book ticket”;
    • Choose the option « Continue in Ticketless » if it is available and type in your email address and your password (those given when you registered) to identify yourself as a Ticketless customer;
    • Continue your reservation by selecting the trains and the fares you require;
    • Follow instructions to payment;
    • After payment has been validated, you will receive an email to confirm your reservation.

  • Through an approved travel agency
    • Before giving your journey details, inform the assistant that you wish to travel Ticketless and give your Thalys n°. This number begins by 308406 and you will find it on your Ticketless card or the email you received when you registered for the service.
    • When your request is confirmed, you will receive an email to confirm your reservation.

  • By telephone
    • Through Ligne Directe in France on + 33 (0) 8 92 35 35 36 (0.34€/min, every day from 7:00 to 22:00).
    • Through the International Call Centre in Belgium on +32 (0)2 528 28 28 (Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 20:00, week-ends and public holidays from 9:00 to 16:30).
    • Before giving your journey details, inform the assistant that you wish to travel Ticketless and give your Thalys n°. 30840601000228615

Ticketless reservation changes

Requests for the exchange or refund of a Ticketless journey (according to after-sales terms and conditions) must be made from the point of sale at which the journey was booked (except Thalys.com) indicating your reservation number.

For purchases at travel agencies: exchanges and refunds are made through your agency.

For purchases on www.thalys.com: exchanges and refunds are made through the International Call Centre in Belgium on +32 (0)2 528 28 28 (Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 20:00, week-ends and public holidays from 9:00 to 16:30).

For purchases by telephone through Ligne Directe in France: exchanges and refunds through Ligne Directe in France on + 33 (0) 8 92 35 35 36 (0.34€/min, every day from 7:00 to 22:00).

For purchases by telephone through the International Call Centre in Belgium: exchanges and refunds through the International Call Centre in Belgium on +32 (0)2 528 28 28 (Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 20:00, week-ends and public holidays from 9:00 to 16:30).

Your confirmation of reservation by email

For all Ticketless reservations, you will receive an email from Thalys within 24 hours confirming your reservation stating your travel details (times, train n°, seat n°…).

If you book on Internet you will also receive a confirmation by email.

If you change or cancel a Ticketless reservation you will also receive a confirmation by email.

Reminder of seat number by SMS (optional)

If you have indicated your mobile telephone n° during registration for the Ticketless service and accepted this option, you will receive an SMS to remind you of your seat number (reservation n°, train n°, carriage n°, seat n°…) at least 1 hour prior to the train’s departure.

Traffic disturbance information by SMS (optional)

If you have indicated your mobile telephone n° during registration for the Ticketless service and accepted this option, you will receive an SMS informing you of any traffic disturbances affecting the train on which you have a Ticketless reservation.

Your Ticketless journey

Until you receive your Thalys Ticketless card, please present the reservation confirmation you have received by email to the Thalys Train Manager when you travel. The bar code on the confirmation will allow your virtual ticket to be checked.

When you receive your Thalys Ticketless card (or if you have a Cybelys card), present it, for each reserved journey, to the Train Manager, who will validate your Ticketless journey.

If you have neither your Thalys Ticketless card nor your reservation confirmation but have reserved a Ticketless journey, please inform the Train Manager and show a valid form of identification.

Once your Ticketless journey has been checked and validated on board Thalys by the Train Manager, your Ticketless journey is considered to be “used”.

My Ticketless personal customer space

You can access your personal customer space by logging on to “My Ticketless”, and giving your email address and password (those given when you registered).

Lost or stolen Thalys Ticketless Cards

Contact the Thalys Customer Service immediately to report the loss or theft of your Thalys Ticketless card:
