On bike or by foot, a stop at one of the city's numerous squares is a great way to get a feeling for the vibrancy of daily life in Amsterdam: in Rembrandtplein or Leidseplein, the most famous squares, you will find the well-known "brown café's".
To end the visit with a panoramic view of the city, make your way the Westerkerk and its bell tower, the tallest in Amsterdam, located in the heart of Jordaan, one of the fashionable quarters.

The plethora of figurative and abstract paintings give a bit of class to the ambiance of this Mediterranean restaurant. The menu is composed of dishes using only fresh products such as bouillabaisse, burbot, duck, or duck liver risotto. The 3 course meal is 38.50€. Until June of 2007, the "Artistic" meal offers customers a four course meal served on a plate hand designed by an artist, at the end of which the plate is for keeping, all for 61€. The wine list is exceptional: more than 95 different bottles from all over the world.
