ROYAL CAFE DE KROON

If the outside of this establishment doesn't seem very inviting, it takes just going up to the second floor for a breathtaking view of the Rembrandtplein. The design is something in principally colonial, although there is a surrealist aspect: one wall displays numerous collections of butterflys and other exotic insects, another wall is host to large flat screen TVs, framed like paintings and diffusing nature themed images. The middle of the room is occupied by large comfortable sheperds chairs and animal skins take the place of carpet.
