Few hours along the river Seine

The path of rue de Rivoli (formerly known as rue Impériale) wasn't formally decided upon until 1801 and its construction took up the better part of 40 years. Today it is an essential thoroughfare of Paris the traces some of the most historically important constructions of the city: Royal Palace, the Louvre, and Tuileries Gardens. This street also is lined with popular stores and boutiques such as Samaritaine, BHV, and the Carrousel du Louvre as well as other specialized boutiques. Rivolis traces the Seine, along which numerous book and souvenir stands are installed.


From Gare de Paris Nord to Tuileries Garden
Take line 4 towards Porte d'Orléans. At Châtelet, take line 1 towards La Defense and get off at Concorde.
From Tuileries Garden to Les Bouquinistes
At the jardin des Tuileries exit, Concorde place, take a left at the quai des Tuileries. Follow along the quai François-Mitterrand, then quai du Louvre

From Les Bouquinistes to Le Duc des Lombards
Left at rue du Pont-Neuf, right on rue Boucher
Left on rue des Bourdonnais then right on rue de Rivoli
On the left, take rue des Lavandières-Sainte-Opportune, cross over place Sainte-Opportune towards the street on the left.
